NEC DT300 Support & Programming

NEC DT300 series sets are all over Canadian offices, and support for them has thinned out badly. The reseller who installed the system has often moved on, and carriers will not take on someone else's platform.

Our technicians still work on these. Most of it is remote work.

What we work on

DT300 series digital terminals, including the DLV(XD)Z-Y display sets, and the NEC systems they sit behind.

What we do

  • Program a new or replacement set — extension, display name, line keys, feature keys matched to the phones you already have
  • Moves, adds and changes when staff turn over
  • Voicemail boxes, greetings, auto-attendant and routing
  • Diagnose sets that are dead, will not ring, or ring in the wrong place
  • Recover programming after an outage or a hardware swap
  • Document the system so the next person is not starting from nothing

One thing worth knowing about digital sets

A DT300 handset holds almost no configuration of its own. Extensions, line appearances and button programming live in the phone system, not in the phone. That is why we do not pre-configure these the way we do IP handsets — there is nothing in the set to configure. You buy the handset, we program your system remotely, and the phone comes up as the one it is replacing.

How remote support works

  1. Tell us what the system is and what it is doing.
  2. We arrange a window and sort out how we get in.
  3. We do the work and tell you what we found.

What it costs

$185 per hour. 30-minute minimum, then 15-minute increments. A straightforward set swap usually lands inside the minimum.
